2009 Opening
We are open from 1st April until 30th September 2009. Note our extended Saturday opening in 2009; details below.
General Public Open Days
House and Garden (visits not bookable in advance)
- Every Wednesday, 11am to 5pm.
- First and third Saturdays, 11am to 5pm: April 4th & 18th, May 2nd & 16th, June 6th & 20th, July 4th & 18th, August 1st & 15th, September 5th & 19th.
Ticket office opens 10.30am. Last admission to the house 4.30pm.
The house has limited capacity. Admission to the house is by timed ticket.
Garden only
- Thursdays, May & June, 2pm to 5pm (as well as Wednesdays and open Saturdays)
Our shop and licensed restaurant are open throughout the general public open times.
Admission prices
- House and Garden: Adults £8.50; Children (8 to 16 years) £4.25; Students in f/t education and with a valid student's card £4.25; one carer accompanying a disabled person FREE. Kelmscott Manor is a member of the Historic Houses Association.
- Garden only: £2
Access
There is wheelchair access to the gardens, shop, restaurant and ground floor of the Manor.
There are disabled toilet facilities.
A wheelchair is available.
Group Bookings
Private visits for groups can be arranged from April to September, on Thursdays and Fridays. Depending on the size of your group and your particular needs, we can offer a room-by-room guided tour or a stewarded tour, each with an introductory talk. Various catering packages are available. A minimum charge applies. Please telephone 01367 252486 to order a Group Booking Pack.

School Study Days
Please contact us to request a school visit information pack and to discuss a programme which meets the needs of your group.
Gift Shop
The gift shop sells a wide range of items – soft furnishings, china, glass, stationery, etc., all inspired by the designs of William Morris and his associates. The shop contains a book section, also. Open throughout the Manor’s opening times.
Restaurant
Enjoy freshly prepared, local produce in our licensed restaurant which is open for morning coffee (Fairtrade), light lunches and afternoon tea (coinciding with general public opening times of the house and garden). Catering for group visits by arrangement only.
Parking Arrangements
The Manor car park is situated close to the church and is signposted. Please note that there is a short walk from the car park to the Manor (approx. 10 minutes). Disabled parking and a drop-off point are available at the Manor.
